How to Order your Repeat Prescription

Configure Prescription Details

Step 1

Register for online access

The easiest and most efficient way to order repeat medication is online using Patient Services.

If you are not already registered, you can:

  • pick up a form at reception; or
  • register online using the form below.

Step 2

Nominate a preferred pharmacy

Choosing a preferred pharmacy means your prescriptions can be sent directly to the pharmacy you choose.

This means:

  • you do not need to come to the surgery to collect prescriptions;
  • the pharmacy can prepare your medicines in advance.

Step 3

Order your prescription

Once you have online access, use Patient Services to order your repeat medication.

Please allow 3 working days for repeat prescriptions to be processed. If you have nominated a pharmacy, please check with the pharmacy before contacting the practice.

Prefer not to order online?

If you do not wish to order online, please hand your repeat prescription slip in at reception.

For patient safety, we do not accept verbal or telephone requests for repeat prescriptions.

Immediate action required: Running out of medication

Please order repeat medication in good time and before you run out. Repeat prescriptions normally take 3 working days to process.

If you have left your request until you are nearly out of medication, please tell us when submitting your request. We will do our best to help where there is a genuine clinical need, but we cannot guarantee that a prescription will be issued the same day. Requests still need to be checked and authorised safely by an appropriate clinician.

If you have already run out of medication, or are worried about missing an important dose, please also speak to your nominated pharmacy or a local community pharmacy for advice. If the practice is closed, a community pharmacist may be able to help with an emergency supply of regular medication.

Non-urgent advice: When will my prescription be ready?
