Welcome to Eastfield Medical Practice

We are a friendly, five-partner GP practice located in the Ladywood district of Penicuik. Our aim is to provide evidence-based medical care in a personal and holistic way.

We treat all our patients with respect, fairness, and strive to build long-term relationships, in the spirit of traditional general practice—where your doctor knows you well.

Our team tends to dress in a relaxed and informal manner, which we believe makes us more approachable, while still upholding the highest standards of care and professionalism. You’ll find our consulting style to be honest, direct, and straightforward.

Working Together

We’re here to provide you with the best possible medical care. However, due to increasing demands on our time from both clinical work and paperwork, we are not able to take on the roles of social workers, benefits advisers, or specialist therapists.

Where appropriate, we will refer you to the right professional or service to support your wider needs.

By registering with our practice, we see our relationship with you as a two-way partnership:

  • We commit to delivering care that is efficient, respectful, and considerate.
  • In return, we ask that you use our services appropriately, which helps us support all our patients more effectively.

Accessibility

Our building is fully accessible and designed to meet disability access standards:

  • Electronic doors (manually operated)
  • All consulting rooms on the ground floor
  • Disabled parking spaces near the main entrance

You don't need a Blue Badge to use these spaces if you’re unwell, but only use them when necessary.
