COVID-19 VACCINATIONS (07.01.21)

If you have a general query about the COVID-19 vaccine, please look on www.NHSInform.scot or use the national helpline 0800 030 8013 which is open from 8am to 8pm, seven days a week. Vaccine rollout to the general public, based on age and underlying health conditions, will start as soon as possible, and will depend on vaccine supply (GP practices are getting deliveries at different times and we have no control of when we will get our deliveries). The first group to receive this will be the over 80s.

Please do not phone the practice to get an appointment, we need to try and keep phone-lines open for people who are unwell and needing medical care.

For people over 80 we will be contacting patients directly - oldest first. If you are in this age group please make sure we have up-to-date telephone contact details.

Minor Injuries Assessment:

For patients 8 years and over who have an injury less than 5 days old. Please go to our appointments tab for more details and contact information

Eastfield Medical Practice is open for business (but not quite as usual)!

If you have any health-related problem which you think needs our help, please give us a call- but don’t just turn up.

You will be asked to leave a telephone number and some details of the reason for your call, and you will be called back shortly.

If necessary you can be seen by the doctor, but this may not be required.

Options include:

  • Your problem may be resolved on the phone, often good for sick lines or prescriptions.
  • Video consultation - easily done on your phone or tablet, and you can show skin rashes/ swellings etc.
  • Home monitoring - you may be advised to do home BP/ pulse/ weight checks.
  • Coming to the practice - we will try to make sure you do not spend much time in our waiting room. You could wait in your car, or outside, until the doctor or nurse is ready. You could even have your blood test or BP check while you are in your car. Our clinical staff will be wearing PPE- mask/ gloves/ apron.

Our staff are all healthy, and our building is clean. We are lucky to have such a spacious waiting area so we hope you will feel comfortable coming to see us if that is necessary.
